Stella McCartney A/W 2010

The Sustainable Designer

Ever since Stella McCartney’s CSM Graduate Show in 1995, (I mean it must help when you have supermodel friends like Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss to walk down the Runway free of charge, I mean how can you NOT get attention). I have been following her and becoming more and more obsessed by her creations first for Chloe and then her own even more fabulous brand.

This season Stella McCartney features Natalia Vodianova in the campaign, along with the cutest graphics I’ve seen used on a high end fashion brand since Takashi Murakami creations for LV of course.

Not only does she appear fun loving but she’s also very opinionated just like her mother Linda McCartney when it comes to the environment and society today. I wish more designers would care about sustainability when creating designs.

I like the simplicity card this campaign has played, simple never goes out of fashion,

simple is best, full stop.

We can’t forget her previous A/W campaign which illustrated charaters from Bambi. A lot of the brands Ads feature animals, which I think is a key element of her animal loving nature and her aim to an Eco-friendly society and use of animal free products throughout her label.

I also Love her collection Adidas by Stella McCartney

Be good to yourself & the environment…
