Kawadoko Dinner**

Sanjo, Kyoto

There is only way to describe this meal and that is THE BEST!

We ate at a traditional Kawadoko spot, but next door they had outdoor seating with chairs, so for those of you who can’t or don’t like the sit on the floor don’t worry there are plenty of alternatives.

Seriously I’ve never eaten so much anything like it, well I have I guess just not one dish after another. A total of 8 dishes…

“WOW” is all I can say! Japanese people sure know how to cook and eat well.

So that is why there are hardly any obese Japanese people… fish, fish and more fish, to be honest I generally only eat white meat anyway, but there had to but little to no fat included in those dishes which is perfect for a health conscious person like myself. But I’ll have to make more of an effort to swap sweets for fruits day in day out.

I was so happy and grateful that I could share this time with my dear friend and of course girls talk is a must on any occasion. It’s rare to meet someone who has the same values as myself especially as we have totally different upbringings. It’s still hard for me to believe the she hasn’t lived/studied abroad but still has an amazing command of English.

Thank you so much for sharing a wonder experience. I look forward to taking you to England, Jamaica and/or Ghana one day to experience my heritage.

I hope next time I will share this rather romantic setting with the special man in my life.
